Lunch and Learn!
Bring your lunch and join us on Saturday, January 25th as Susie Wheeler leads a discussion on the scientific history of the Texas Panhandle
In 1820, a scientific expedition lead my Major Stephen Harriman Long ventured across what is now the Texas Panhandle. Although other explorers had been through this land, this was the first to scientifically record the natural resources and report back to Washington DC. What led up to this expedition? What did these explorers see when they passed through this area 200 years ago?
