Our public programs are returning with Earth Day Open House on Saturday October 10 from noon to 2! We'll have our naturalist led hike, music by The Caliche Dust Band, our insect specialist Kathleen, Texas Master Naturalists will have an activity as will Panhandle Archaeological Society and The Wild Hanburys will be on hand with their reptiles.  We'll have lunch available for a small donation. Most activities will be outside but indoor activities will be mask requested.

During times of uncertainty, time spent outdoors can be a real help both mentally and physically.  Just a short time outside helps clear your head and relieves stress and anxiety.

Our trails remain open and our visitor center is staffed from 12 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday.  Masks are currently required in all Wildcat Bluff buildings. Please come on out and take a break on our 6 miles of primitive trails or our paved Libb's Trail area.

With local schools in the Amarillo area staying closed, getting your kids outside is a great way to reduce cabin fever while still avoiding crowds.

There's no need to come inside, either.  Members are always free to use the trails and non-member visitors may use our fee drop box or click the donate button and pay trail fees that way if you prefer.

Bring Your Best Friend

Dogs are welcome on our trails!  Leashes required and please clean up after them.  Remember that it gets very hot on the trail during the summer months so please bring water for your dog too and stay aware of the temps.

We're located at 2301 N Soncy in Amarillo, Texas - just 3 miles north of I-40

Our trails are open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset.  Please come and enjoy!

Our office is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 pm.

If you arrive to hike when our office is closed, fees can be placed in the slot by the front door - just $4 for adults and $3 for children over 3 and adults over 60.
