A New Look at an Old Building Material: Examining Burned Daub for Clues to Architectural Methods and Materials - Joe D. Rogers
Burned daub is found in many archaeological sites and is often discarded, disregarded or ground through a screen. A significant amount of information is being lost by these actions. Using material curated from previous excavations along with that of recent discoveries, this seemingly benign material is revealing some extraordinary information about the architecture of various prehistoric structures.
